Superintendent of Schools.
Supervision Exercised:
Direct supervision of the
personnel assigned to the Division of Operational Support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
INSTRUCTIONAL 1. Provides appropriate time, resources, and
materials in
MANAGEMENT supporting the
education mission of the school district.
SCHOOL/ 2. Develops long and short range objectives for
the planning and
ORGANIZATIONAL evaluation operations
of the school district.
CLIMATE
3. Assists in coordinating information between regional
administrators and other division directors.
4. Performs duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual
attendance at the location of work assignment.
SCHOOL/ 5. Supervises the development of performance
reports to determine
ORGANIZATIONAL if the performance
and program objectives were achieved and to
IMPROVEMENT determine the
efficiency of Windham operations.
6. Supervises the development of formal reports and other documentation
as needed.
PERSONNEL 7. Appraises
the performance of assigned employees.
MANAGEMENT
8. Assists in making recommendation to the Superintendent for
approval of staffing plans and program changes as required.
9. Ensures that assigned staff interacts in a positive, supportive,
and cooperative manner.
ADMINISTRATION 10. Assists with annual projections of student enrollment, staffing
AND FISCAL/ needs,
and facility and equipment needs of each.
FACILITIES
MANAGEMENT 11. Serves as division director for WSD
operational reviews, monitoring activities, and the Records Department.
12. Assists the WSD Superintendent in discussion and approval of
policies, directives, and staffing involving WSD education operations.
13. Develops and administers budget for the Division of Operational
Support and oversees budget preparation for the Records Department.
SCHOOL/ 14. Interfaces with TEA Representatives and
other agencies in
COMMUNITY matters
related to accreditation, planning, and evaluation.
RELATIONS
15. Serves as contact for educational representatives of privately
operated prisons.
16. Serves as the Custodian of Offender Records for the District.
17. Establishes and maintains effective communication with
representatives from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Agency.

Educational and Experience
Requirements:
Master's Degree and SBEC Mid‑Management
Administrator Certificate, Principal Certificate, or Administrator
Certificate. Three years of classroom
teaching experience is required.
Successful administrative campus level experience is required.
