Jon D. Welch is my given name, of Scot/Irish/Pre-American decent. I have to wear a plaid loin cloth. Everyone thought I should have an "Indian" name so I gave my self one:
Weeping Skye
The "Weeping" is from Jeremiah 9:1, "Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!"
My people being our First Nations People ... Indians. The "Skye" just seemed to fit. I have named my youngest son Elijah Skye. I am a licensed Baptist minister and have done mission work in Oklahoma with different tribes.
I mostly write poetry, I just let it reflect my life...for the most part. Enjoy them.
